As an Associate Account Manager, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for a small portfolio of employer clients or support a senior manager on larger accounts. You’ll help deliver outstanding service, analyze benefit programs, and support client meetings, reporting, and strategy discussions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to build subject matter expertise in healthcare and benefits.
JOB ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the day-to-day management of employer benefit programs by serving as a liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams
- Build relationships with assigned clients and serve as a reliable, responsive point of contact for routine questions and requests
- Assist with plan analysis, renewal presentations, open enrollment planning, and compliance deliverables
- Help develop and present benefit communication materials tailored to each client
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables including plan documents, reports, and client communications
- Participate in client meetings and calls, supporting senior account managers and consultants
- Monitor and track project deadlines and client-specific service calendars
- Develop knowledge of benefits regulations (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, etc.) and vendor capabilities
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and take initiative to drive better service.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field
- 1+ internship or part-time experience in client service, project coordination, HR, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—comfortable interacting with professionals at all levels
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Willingness to obtain a Life & Health license within your first 90 days (required; company-supported).

- Primarily office-based or remote with occasional travel for client meetings.
- Frequent use of computer and phone; extended periods of sitting and screen time.
- Occasional lifting of materials under 20 lbs.
