Campaign Manager (Students for Voting Rights)
Overview
Students for Voting Rights is looking for a manager to lead campaign strategy, day-to-day project management, and visioning.
Students for Voting Rights launched in 2022 as our campaign to end systemic inequality in our democracy by fighting money in politics, voter suppression attempts, and the two-party grip on our elections. We fight with allies for critical democracy reforms at the federal-level, lead efforts on-the-ground to stop anti-democracy measures, and support state allies to defeat anti-democracy legislation.
If you’re a strong candidate for this role, you’re self-driven, able to independently lead a small team, and dynamic enough to adapt to a rapidly-evolving political climate.
Responsibilities Include
- Recruiting, coaching, and managing new team members to support campaign activities
- Outreach to partner organizations in youth, voting rights, anti-corruption, and electoral justice spaces
- Mobilizing students to join campaign events, rallies, and movement-calls
- Coordinate rapid-response against threats to voting rights at the state & federal-level
- Work with the Advocacy Coordinator to craft testimony, research, and schedule meetings with policymakers in support of pro-democracy reforms
- Help increase visibility of campaign work to local news & on social media
- Share campaign updates at weekly team meetings and regularly check-in with the Chief of Staff & organizational leadership about progress, barriers, and support needs
- Other campaign responsibilities as decided by leadership
Requirements Include
- Capacity to work 10-15 hours/week on the above
- Commitment to centering youth as we build a just & inclusive democracy
- Demonstrated leadership, ability to think strategically, and respond to a rapidly-evolving organizing landscape
- Strong interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills
- (Nice to have) Ability to point to a past issue-based campaign you were a part of, or helped win

About the Task Force for Democracy
We’re a 100% youth-led & volunteer task force of students leading 6 campaigns organizing students to demand a more just democracy for our generation! We work alongside our youth & movement partners to center students in the fight against advancing autocracy.
We’re nonpartisan. We don’t do electoral politics. And we stay focused on ending the root causes of inequality in our democracy.
We know that true democracy cannot exist just at the ballot box, but must be present in the workplace, and in our education. Our campaigns aim to end structural inequality across different areas of our democracy, and include: fighting voter suppression & money in politics, organizing students under autocracy, stopping a dangerous Article V convention, using transparency laws to hold power accountable, and more!
