Analyst, Investments
The Analyst, Investments is a member of the Investments team responsible for assisting with acquisitions, dispositions, valuations, portfolio management, ROI evaluation and capital prioritization. The Analyst will conduct a variety of market and financial analyses including, but not limited to, asset valuations, investment NPVs and IRRs, market supply and demand, ROI project evaluation, and M&A analysis. Additional responsibilities include assisting with coordination and management of the portfolio management process, supporting transaction activity at all stages of the deal, facilitating the capital prioritization process, and preparing executive presentations.
The position requires a self-motivated candidate with a strong interest in real estate investment management, proven ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Create complex models for acquisitions, dispositions, valuations, development and ROI opportunities. Develop pro forma projections.
- Support portfolio management process and assist with completion of quarterly deliverables.
- Support acquisitions and dispositions efforts throughout all stages of the transaction.
- Leverage access to industry data to develop market forecasts and identify/monitor industry trends.
- Conduct market supply and demand analyses.
- Prepare memos and presentations for senior management.
- Assist in reviewing management and franchise agreements, leases, and other contracts.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate acquisition and ROI opportunities.
- Represent Park at internal and external meetings and events.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
- Skills required: strong Excel modeling capabilities, effective written and verbal communication, operates with sense of urgency and discipline, problem solver with the ability to multi-task.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in economics or finance
0 - 2 years in finance or related field (internships included)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years in real estate or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree focused in hotels or real estate
- Understanding of hotel operations and industry.
- Strong Excel modeling capabilities.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
- Effective written and verbal communication.
