Summer 2026 Consulting Intern
We are looking to hire a Summer Consulting Intern to support our Washington, D.C. area financial and strategy advisory practice. This is an in-person position and preference will be given to candidates graduating in 2027 with ties to the Washington, DC area. Successful candidates will be intellectually curious individuals who work well in teams, are eager to learn, and can maintain high levels of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. They will also have proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
Logistics Capital & Strategy (LCS) offers a challenging, well-compensated opportunity for students interested in a summer internship that provides hands-on experience in business strategy. We are seeking candidates with the demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience. We prefer people who have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Successful candidates will have the ability to:
• Develop financial and business models using Excel and either Tableau or Power BI
• Prepare presentation materials for active engagements and marketing activities via PowerPoint
• Conduct primary and secondary research on costs, customers and competitors

Desired Skills and Experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Experience with building quantitative models using Excel)
• Skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint -- Ability to synthesize quantitative data output into compelling, qualitative presentation materials
• Experience with quantitative data collection and synthesis
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI
• Familiarity with general business/financial/accounting concepts
• Completion of Junior year in college

• Educational background that demonstrates critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• General enthusiasm for the industry and work that we do

• Ability to multi-task while still remaining attentive to detail

• Flexibility with regard to work schedule and the hours required to finalize deliverables
• Additional experience with statistical modeling software (i.e. Quantrix, SQL, R, SAS,
etc.) or programming languages (i.e. Python, Pandas, etc.) are a plus
