Summer Analyst - Operations
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are actively seeking a highly motivated and self-starting Summer Analyst to support operations of our high growth trade finance platform. Supporting the Managing Director, Operations & Risk, the role works alongside the company’s finance, operations, client management, and business systems departments supporting primarily inventory finance programs. The Summer Analyst will be responsible for transactional, compliance, and payments support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the management and execution of inventory finance transactions, including purchase orders, goods receipt notices, shipping notifications, invoices, and warehouse reports to ensuring efficient processing and compliance
• Analyze and optimize operational workflows, identifying areas for improvement in process efficiency and risk management
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline reporting processes and ensure accurate tracking of key performance metrics
• Participate in cross-departmental projects aimed at improving operational effectiveness and reducing risk exposure
• Assist in preparing documentation and presentations
• In addition, gain exposure to accounts receivable finance and supply chain finance programs
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Undergraduate junior currently pursuing their degree with a focus on Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience or knowledge of supply chain finance, trade finance, or operational risk management is preferred, but not required
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative
• Prior internship or relevant work experience is a plus
