Starwood Capital Group 2027 Commercial Asset Management Summer Analyst

Over the past 34 years, Starwood Capital has invested in excess of $270 billion of assets, including properties within every major real estate asset class.

Responsibilities:

Interns will focus on monitoring and reporting asset level performance, identifying potential issues and assisting with existing asset business plan development and implementation.  Specific responsibilities include:

  •  Performing property and portfolio valuations and return analyses;
  •  Conducting market assessments and making recommendations based on results; working on special projects including hold-sell analysis and evaluation of refinancing;
  •  Interacting with joint venture partners;
  •  Monitoring business plan performance and reacting to correct any variances;
  •  Reviewing and reporting on plans, budgets and schedules to identify profit-maximizing opportunities;
  •  Assisting the acquisition team with underwriting potential real estate and structured finance acquisitions.

Qualifications:

Starwood Capital seeks to hire qualified candidates who have superior analytical, quantitative, and technical skills. These successful candidates should:

  •  Have a demonstrated interest in real estate and finance
  •  Have an unyielding work ethic
  •  Display a willingness to take direction and the capacity to quickly learn and develop skills required to become an effective  Analyst,  including  proficiency in  financial modeling
  •  Be a team player who feel comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
  •  Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

To be considered for the 2027 Summer Internship Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  •  Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student
  •  Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2027 – Spring 2028
