Summer 2026 Intern

Posting 

Gain hands-on government relations experience and extensive networking opportunities with NVG, LLC (NVG). NVG is seeking an intern who is enthusiastic about learning the operations of a fast-paced policy and lobbying firm. Applicants must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and possess strong writing and communication skills. NVG focuses on issues relating to health care, immigration, food policy, intellectual property, labor policy, civil rights, media, and education, leaving interns with well-rounded policy exposure and knowledge.    

 

NVG is fully committed to providing an educational experience for all participants. Interns will gain substantive experience, including policy and clerical work, under the direct supervision of a staff member.    

   

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:    

  • Attending Congressional committee hearings, policy briefings, or academic forums and producing notes from these events as needed    
  • Assisting with administrative and clerical duties    
  • Conducting legislative and policy research   
  • Assisting in drafting memos concerning legislation and policy    
  • Assisting with targeted outreach efforts for NVG-sponsored briefings    
  • Creating data charts or presentations relating to policy issues 
  • Compiling and distributing daily news clips for staff    
  • Assisting with a variety of other tasks and projects as needed or as interests indicate

Interns should anticipate a commitment of at least 30 hours per week, with a strong preference for in-person Tuesday-Thursday availability. The compensation for this position is $19/hour.
