Summer Internship Program

2026 Summer Internship Program

ACNB Corporation | Paid | Onsite | 10 Weeks

Build Your Banking Career—Before You Graduate

ACNB Corporation is launching its Summer Internship Program, designed for students who want more than a résumé line. This program is built to develop real-world banking skills, expose you to multiple career paths, and connect you directly with professionals and leaders in the industry—all while making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

If you’re curious about banking, finance, business operations, leadership, or community-focused careers, this is your opportunity to see how it all works—from the inside.

What You’ll Do & Learn (Performance-Based Experience)

Over a 10-week paid internship (June–early August), you’ll be expected to:

  • Contribute to meaningful work based on business needs and your interests
  • Apply classroom knowledge to real banking operations, projects, and problem-solving
  • Develop professional skills including communication, time management, analytical thinking, and accountability
  • Learn how a community bank operates as a whole, from front-line service to back-office functions
  • Engage with senior and executive leaders through orientation and structured interactions
  • Participate in weekly cohort sessions led by Shippensburg University professors, reinforcing business and leadership concepts relevant to your internship work

This is not job shadowing. You’ll be trusted with real responsibilities, guided by experienced professionals who are invested in your success.

What Sets You Up for Success

You’re likely to thrive in this internship if you:

  • Are a current college student (rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior)
  • Have an interest in banking, finance, business, leadership, or community-focused careers
  • Can commit to working onsite for the full 10-week program
  • Are curious, reliable, and eager to learn across multiple areas of an organization
  • Value mentorship, structure, and hands-on experience

Internships are paid, may qualify for academic credit (if approved by your school), and generally involve up to 40 hours per week.

Why You’ll Love This Internship

  • Real exposure to banking careers—not just theory
  • Mentorship from professionals who want to develop future talent
  • Partnership with the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA) and Shippensburg University, adding credibility and learning depth
  • Strong pipeline opportunity for future employment with ACNB Corporation
  • A chance to build your professional network while making a local community impact
