Research Analyst Intern
We are currently seeking an intern for the summer of 2026 to join our healthcare policy research team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work at the intersection of finance, healthcare policy, and data analysis, and is best suited for candidates with strong quantitative skills.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong interest in finance and can work independently and in a small team. This role is based in the Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Analyze healthcare policy data to forecast trends and assess impact on publicly traded healthcare companies.
- Build and update models to assist healthcare policy team in their research reports.
- Participate in daily meetings and join calls with investors, company management, and the sales team.
- Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
The following are the minimum requirements for this position:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as math, statistics, finance, or computer science. If pursuing a degree in policy, the candidate should have previous quantitative work experience. This role is best suited for upperclassmen or graduate students.
- Advanced Excel skills are required. Proficiency in Python is a plus.
- Experience analyzing large datasets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and be flexible with work hours.
