Purpose of Division:

The Office of Administrative Services & Facilities is committed to providing quality support services in support of NeighborWorks America’s business goals. The administrative services team provides efficient support, services and guidance to all staff for office operational and related issues.

 

Project Summary:

Summary of responsibilities and duties of the Scholar Project Analyst include: to collect weekly data, monitor engagement trends and identify/flag disengagement early, complete midpoint and final evaluation reports and present findings to leadership. 

This is a highly engaging and visible role, instrumental to the success of the summer internship program that will afford the opportunity to work with managers, mentors and scholars cross divisionally across the organization.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Scholar Analyst Program Management:

  • Track progress of collaborative initiatives (1x1 meetings).
  • Conduct weekly peer-to-peer project engagement conversations with Scholars.
  • Track weekly project and presentation milestone progress rate.
  • Facilitate discussion from required reading.
  • Coordinate all cross-divisional collaboration for partnership with weekly Scholar learning sessions.
  • Conduct and track 360 feedback sessions with scholars, mentors and supervisors.
  • Collect and summarize weekly progress reports from Scholars.
  • Track and monitor budget of Scholars program.
  • Meeting and Events planning of all Scholars program sessions. 

General Project Management:

  • Additional Administrative Services & Facilities Project Management support including:
  • Business Continuity Plan- The Scholar will engage in our organization' business continuity plan by learning about the BCP and assisting in updating it across the organization. 
    • Meetings and Events Planning – Scholar will work with our meetings & events planner to learn the logistics to coordinate and schedule internal meetings and special events.
    • Alternative Workspace Solutions – Scholar will work with the team to conduct market research for potential alternative workspace solutions for NeighborWorks America (remote and traveling staff). Potential to build a program/process for Org.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Nature of Work Contacts:

Interfaces with NeighborWorks® America staff, vendors and other company representatives.

 

Fiscal Responsibilities:

Budgetary management duties related to the Summer Scholars internship program. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Education:
  2. Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a related field
    • Minimum Education: Rising senior or above
    • Minimum 3.5 GPA or above

Experience:

At least 3 (+) years of undergraduate-level coursework in a related field of study

Preferred Qualifications:

Project or Program Management Certification a plus but not required.

Working Conditions:

Travel:

There will be an opportunity for one week of travel from Aug 10-14to attend the Miami National Training Institute.

Hybrid Schedule- Required to work in-person in the DC HQ Office at least two days a week.
