Position Title:
Part-Time Commercial Real Estate Acquisitions Analyst (Student / Internship-Style Role)
Location:
McLean, Virginia (Primarily Off-Site)
Hours:
Approximately 20 hours per week
Compensation:
$18 per hour (Independent Contractor / 1099)
Position Overview
A commercial real estate investment firm based in McLean, Virginia is seeking a motivated undergraduate or graduate student interested in pursuing a career in commercial real estate acquisitions, investment, or development.
This internship-style position provides direct exposure to real estate investment analysis and the acquisition process. The selected candidate will work closely with firm principals evaluating potential acquisitions and assisting with financial analysis and deal screening.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and comparable property analysis
- Preliminary deal analysis and decision on which deals to submit to senior management
- Assist with financial analysis and underwriting of potential real estate acquisitions
- Build and maintain Excel-based financial models
- Review offering memorandums and broker materials
- Assist with due diligence and investment summaries
- Support principals with acquisition pipeline tracking and analysis
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, or real estate
- Strong interest in commercial real estate investment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week
- Must have reliable transportation to conduct site reconnaissance and tours
