As a Student Trainee (Health Insurance), GS-0199-3/4, you will assist in analyzing health care. See duties below for more specifics.
Salary:
GS-3/4 - $15.79 to - $21.81 per hour

What you'll do:
- Provide assistance to the supervisor in the preparation of a variety of healthcare administrative materials.
- Assist in reviewing reports and other health care program documents for correctness and verifying discrepancies with the appropriate office or individual.
- Assist in assembling data and consolidating and preparing reports for assigned projects.
- Assist higher-level employees in evaluating the success of projects.
- Complete administrative duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the organization.
Qualifications:
In order to qualify for the GS-03, you must meet the following:
Completion of 1 full academic year of education above high school. One full academic year post-high school is defined as 30 credits for degrees that require a total of 120 semester hours, or 45 quarter hours for degrees that require a total of 180 quarter hours.
In order to qualify for the GS-04, you must meet the following:
Completion of 2 full academic years of education above high school OR an Associate's or equivalent degree. Two full academic years post-high school are defined as 60 credits for degrees that require a total of 120 semester hours, or 90 quarter hours for degrees that require a total of 180 quarter hours.
If you are enrolled for the SPRING 2026 semester and do not have a transcript (e.g., a graduating high school student who is enrolled for a bachelor's degree program for SPRING 2026, in addition to your High School (or previous Degree) transcript, you MUST provide proof of acceptance or an enrollment letter from your Institution with your application. If you do not submit the required documentation, you will not be considered for this position.
TRANSCRIPTS are required at the time of application to verify satisfactory completion of education as part of the program eligibility and qualification requirements. You must submit an unofficial transcript from your Institution attesting to your possession of the required education. All unofficial transcripts must include the following: current overall GPA, enrollment status, major, and the number of credits for each course. If you do not submit a transcript indicating your possession of the required education, you will not be considered for this position.
