Duration: 10–12 Weeks (Summer)
Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week)

Role Overview
At Chiquita Jackson Enterprise Corp, we believe that data is the most powerful tool for social change. As our Data Impact & Visualization Intern, you will not just be supporting a team—you will be the lead architect of our business intelligence ecosystem. Your mission is to bridge the gap between our raw operational data and the stories of impact we share with our community, donors, and stakeholders. This role is designed for a self-starter who wants to move beyond theoretical coursework and build a high-fidelity, automated data infrastructure from the ground up.
Core Responsibilities
- Data Infrastructure Audit: Map out current data silos across our CRM, social impact tracking tools, and financial reports to create a unified data strategy.
- ETL & Data Hygiene: Lead the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process to clean and normalize disparate datasets into a "Single Source of Truth."
- Advanced Dashboard Design: Develop automated, interactive dashboards using Power BI to track real-time KPIs and program outcomes.
- Strategic Storytelling: Synthesize complex data into visual narratives for use in our 2026 Annual Impact Report and major grant proposals.
- Knowledge Transfer: Author a Technical Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure the sustainability of the dashboards and data pipelines you create.
Technical Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Analytics Toolkit: Advanced command of SQL and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot Modeling, Power Query, and complex formulas).
- Visualization Expertise: Hands-on experience building reports in at least one major BI platform (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio).
- Analytical Rigor: The ability to identify trends, outliers, and actionable insights within "messy" real-world nonprofit data.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with nonprofit CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, HubSpot, or similar).
- Intermediate proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and automation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical leadership.
The Candidate Benefit
This 20-hour-per-week role is structured to offer maximum professional autonomy. You will finish the summer with a portfolio-ready capstone project demonstrating your ability to lead a data project through its entire lifecycle—from initial audit to executive presentation. Your work will directly influence the strategic direction of Chiquita Jackson Enterprise Corp and provide the empirical evidence needed to scale our mission.
