Health and Biomedical Sciences Internship at Health Research Company

We collaborate with non-profit advocacy, biopharmaceutical, and health technology groups integrating the diverse needs of today’s complex web of stakeholders.
Entry-level temporary internship position for students interested in working at a boutique advisory firm. Provides support to BPG employees to assist with the design, execution, and maintenance of research and strategic consulting services. Internships are paid, part-time, time-limited (two to six months), and project focused.
Intern projects are designed between the intern and their supervisor based on intern interest and organization objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Support BPG teams in developing and executing outcomes research projects (e.g. literature-based reviews, patient and/or clinician surveys, qualitative research and analyses; not laboratory-based research)
- Project management tasks (e.g. maintain, update, and may establish various project tracking, prepare materials, and support program-level meetings)
- Supervised development of research summary reports
- Attend weekly team meetings and any applicable project meetings
- Other research projects as mutually agreed upon between Intern and supervisor
- Work and communicate with staff and BPG clients to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner
- Be curious!
Knowledge / Skills
- Interest in working with entrepreneurs in a small business to improve healthcare and support innovative medical product development
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite programs or similar technology
- Knowledge of scientific research processes
- Experience with literature review approaches and associated source systems is preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and work effectively with a variety of collaborators
- Ability to express information to individuals or groups effectively, whether verbal or written, in a clear and organized manner
Requirements
- Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a health science related field
- Intern must be a resident of Massachusetts, District of Columbia, Virginia, Texas, Maryland, Arizona, or Florida
