AmeriCorps Summer Associate Community Outreach and Research VISTA

The Coalition is seeking AmeriCorps Summer Associate VISTAs to support research for our Rural Investment Fund Initiative. This is a full-time, temporary 10-week service position running from June 1 through August 7, 2026. The project aims to equip rural communities with the tools and education needed to create pathways out of poverty by promoting infrastructure investment and improving access to essential services. The Summer Associate VISTA will support outreach and planning efforts, engage stakeholders, and build relationships with community partners.

This position will be structured as 40% hybrid and 60% in-person, depending on outreach scheduling.

Responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing data, interviewing community-based organizations, and gathering feedback to inform program development and decision-making.

The VISTA will receive a bi-weekly living allowance of $1,072.54. Upon completion of service, Summer Associates may choose between a Segal Education Award of $1,565.08 or a cash stipend of $345.80 for the 10-week term. Applicant must reside in the DMV area
