Survey Statistician (Recent Graduate) GS-7/9

This vacancy is for a Survey Statistician (Recent Graduate) position located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.

Recent College Graduates from qualifying institutions within two years of degree or certification (Veterans precluded by their military service obligation, will have up to six years to apply).

Duties

  • Maintains communication with supervisors and team members performing work for the assigned programs and projects.
  • Applies statistical techniques and methods in performing project related activities.
  • Identifies survey requirements and develops the specifications, procedures, and materials to support effective data collection.
  • Assists in planning and conducting methodological and evaluative studies relating to survey collection methods to refine the survey process to produce reliable and statistically valid data.
