Duties


  • You will execute program plans to achieve milestones and requirements for the full scope of activities associated with acquisition issues.

  • You will ensure program schedules are met within workforce and fiscal resources.

  • You will provide long range plans for the cost, performance, schedule of diverse teams and acquisition efforts within the scope of assigned areas; exercise significant judgment and experience to establish priorities.

  • You will serve as management advisor using a high-level of discernment and judgment to address a wide variety of interrelated subject matter, that can include financial, contractual, programmatic, or other program office focus areas.

  • You will establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate projects concerning the development, installation, integration, and testing, relative to the acquisition process.

  • You will brief senior leadership and makes recommendations based on findings.

  • You will prepare coordinated reports, presentations and briefings in support of program actions.

  • You will analyze requirements to develop program reporting including the specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and evaluation methodology.

  • You will lead studies, surveys, reviews, and/or research projects to evaluate program accomplishments, effectiveness, and/or compliance with meeting specific goals, objectives, rules, and regulations.

  • You will develop evaluation plans, metrics, procedures, and methodology as a result of studies performed.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications



Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (GS-11 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Expert knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods related to program/project management. Expert knowledge of evaluative and analytical techniques to analyze program requirements and develop and recommend strategies for execution. Expert knowledge is applied in conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating programs. Comprehensive skill in applying, enforcing and integrating rules, regulation, and guidelines that impact projects and programs. Ability to study, identify and solve complex problems; develops innovative support approaches to resolve identified issues. Working level knowledge of acquisition directives, regulations, policies and laws. Mastery of management principles and organizational practices to lead a team and collaborate with stakeholders throughout various phases of a program/project.
