ABOUT THIS JOB
DiamondRock Hospitality (NASDAQ: DRH) is seeking an individual with a primary interest in Hospitality Real Estate.

The Financial Analyst position is a full time, 2-year program that provides analysts with the ability to work at a premium lodging REIT. The primary role of Financial Analysts at DiamondRock is in Asset Management, with an opportunity to also work in Acquisitions and Corporate Finance.

Throughout the two years, our analysts develop an extensive understanding of the best-in-class business practices that result in successful hotel investments. Contributions made by Financial Analysts are integral to the success of DiamondRock.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Asset Management
• Compile and create financial reports to assist asset management
• Review, analyze, and prepare summaries of key statistical data comparing actual monthly hotel financial statements to prior year, budget, and forecast
• Work in conjunction with both hotel management and asset management in order to provide timely and accurate reports
• Support the creation of operating and capital budgets
• Develop financial models to evaluate investment returns on proposed capital projects
• Assist with planning and execution of capital projects, renovations, and re-positionings
• Participate in hotel site visits and market tours to obtain first-hand knowledge of our hotels, competition and demand generators
Acquisitions
• Evaluate potential hotel investments and dispositions by creating comprehensive investment underwriting which includes pro-forma projections, IRR analyses, and capital requirement assessments
• Prepare internal investment memoranda for Executive Committee and Board of Directors
• Assist with due diligence, market research, and closing activities
Corporate Finance & Investor Relations
• Assist with preparation of quarterly earnings calls for the Executive Committee
• Develop investor relations presentations that highlight the strategy and outlook of the company
• Reconcile operating data between Asset Management and Accounting for quarterly and annual financial planning and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience in Real Estate or Hospitality is strongly preferred
• BA/BS required, concentration in Hotel, Real Estate and/or Real Estate courses preferred
• Outstanding record of academic achievement
• Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint competency required)
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic and high level of integrity
• Eagerness and enthusiasm to collaborate and closely work on a small team of analysts with shared responsibilities
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task various projects; both recurring and ad hoc
