WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Program Analyst, you will:
- Lead exercises and exercise planning within the E2A2 Exercise Division's Program, developing, implementing, and representing projects in support of emergency operations and preparedness.
- Propose solutions and process improvements to senior leaders pertinent to emergency response and preparedness incidents, events, or exercises and develops priorities that formulate the development of appropriate training, education, plans, policy, and exercises.
- Identify and analyze issues and challenges facing the program; formulate and evaluate possible courses of action for resolving them; draw conclusions based upon relevant facts and recommend solutions to chain-of-command.
- Use effective communication techniques to share relevant information with appropriate personnel across the Department on a timely basis to accomplish objectives which include ensuring all information is exchanged to necessary entities across functional areas.
Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:
- Using qualitative and/or quantitative methods to develop and improve work processes and policies, management practices, and/or administrative operations.
- Reviewing regulations and guidelines to formulate recommendations to senior level leadership to resolve program issues.
- Developing comprehensive reports to address findings from program operation studies in support of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program.
