Position Overview 

The Digital Chamber is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Operations Intern to support the Director of Operations in the day-to-day functioning of the organization. This is a hands-on opportunity for a college student to gain real-world experience in nonprofit and trade association operations, with direct exposure to the inner workings of a fast-growing policy organization. 

 

This role will focus on supporting operations for TDC's Policy team — the organization's core advocacy function. However, TDC is entering a period of organizational growth, and this position offers the opportunity to grow in scope alongside the organization.

Reports to: Director of Operations 

Location: Hybrid (Washington, DC) 

Schedule: 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate class schedules 

Duration: One semester, with the possibility of extension based on mutual fit 

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. This role qualifies for academic credit. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Operations and the Policy team's day-to-day activities 

Assist with logistics and coordination for Policy team events, including Capitol Hill “Fly-In” advocacy trips (scheduling, materials preparation, briefing document assembly) 

Help maintain, organize, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring organizational processes 

Support internal communications, documentation, and file management 

Assist with data organization, light research, and reporting to support operational decision-making 

Help coordinate meetings, calendars, and follow-up action items 

Contribute to special projects as assigned, with growing exposure to organization-wide operations as TDC's structure evolves 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program; rising juniors or seniors preferred, but all motivated candidates are encouraged to apply 

Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail 

Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a lean, fast-paced environment 

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite 

Proficient using Asana  

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Interest in nonprofit management, trade association operations, public policy, or the digital asset/blockchain industry is a plus, but not required 

Prior internship or administrative experience is a plus, but not required
