Summary
The Analyst will have multiple responsibilities (investment and operational) across the organization. You will help identify trends, source opportunities, evaluate, recommend and monitor investments. You will play a critical role in helping to ensure that capital is allocated in an optimal way to achieve portfolio objectives.

Role
1906’s Analyst position is intended to collaborate with executives across the real estate and investment portfolios. They will work alongside the team’s current Analysts. In this role, the Analyst/Associate will conduct due diligence for prospective investments, monitor and analyze the current portfolio, and perform ad-hoc analyses.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Investment portfolio analysis, fund due diligence (i.e., hedge funds, private funds), including quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Real estate portfolio management and due diligence (commercial and residential)
- Gather and analyze monthly investment returns, prepare exhibits, quarterly investment materials, manager recommendations
- Create and maintain models for potential and current investments (financial and real estate)
- Various one-off analyses and research projects
- Keep current on investment trends and contribute to investment discussions and initiatives involving all investment classes in the portfolio

Qualifications
- Bachelors or master’s degree with a strong academic background (in any discipline)
- A demonstrated knowledge of investment concepts
- Passion for learning, curiosity and a team mindset
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
- Advanced MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Keen sense of professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity towards confidential project information
