Private Credit Summer Analyst

Job Description: Assist with underwriting and/or managing existing investment activity and maintaining relationships with clients. Interns will learn how to prepare investment memos, build financial models, and perform in-depth financial analysis on a regular basis. The Intern will also gain exposure to all areas of the business, including the financing process, syndication and capital markets activity, and legal document negotiation. Frequent interaction with clients and MidCap senior management is a unique feature of the position. 

 Skills required: 

• A strong quantitative and analytical background. Knowledge of and experience with basic accounting and financial principles is recommended.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. The position entails frequent communication with c-suite executives of our borrowers, as well as with MidCap senior management to discuss performance of underlying investments, evaluate opportunities and make supported, well-informed investment recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and assume a high level of responsibility and accountability
• Ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail and is a self-starter

 Prerequisites: 

• Strong academic record; business-related major or minor required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Graduation date no later than May 2028
