Finance Intern
This 10-week internship program, (June 7, 2027-August 13, 2027), offers a set hourly rate of $33.00 an hour and a potential pathway to full-time opportunities with Fannie Mae.
This position has multiple openings and may be based in our Washington, DC (Midtown Center) or Reston, VA (Reston Town Center) office.

As a Finance intern, you will do more than observe the business — you will contribute to meaningful work that helps Fannie Mae support the stability and affordability of housing in America. What you could work on as a Finance intern:

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Qualifications
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Academic achievement (preferred GPA of 3.3 or higher)
- Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date of Spring 2028
- Finance majors with coursework and/or experience in information systems or data science are preferred
- Strong analytical background
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to contribute to a team atmosphere
- Self-starter, strong business acumen, and results focused
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written
- Fluency and aptitude with technology applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CoPilot Studio, and SharePoint
- Proficiency with ChatGPT, including building agents, skills, projects, etc.
