Year-Round Graduate Intern, Supervision, RFBO
About RFBO:
The RBO Supervision sections oversee and monitor Reserve Bank supervision of domestic regional banking organizations (RBOs) with $10-100B in assets. Additionally, the Insurance and FBO <$100B Supervision section oversees foreign banking organizations (FBOs) with U.S. assets under $100 billion, as well as all supervised insurance organizations (SIOs).
What You Will Do:
Support the RFBO’s Chief of Staff in managing operations, executing strategic priorities, ad-hoc projects such as:
- Portfolio initiatives and cross-sectional coordination across RBO and FBO/Insurance supervision teams
- Assist in tracking and monitoring key supervisory priorities, projects, and deliverables
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Suggested Major/Minor: Must be pursuing a graduate level degree in finance, economics, or data analytics, or another related field of study, graduating Fall 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical thinking, qualitative research abilities, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python and advanced Excel
- Familiarity with SQL or financial data platforms is a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly
- Collaboration and working in team environment, interpersonal skills
- Quantitative and qualitative experience/literacy (able to interpret numbers and data)
Position Details:
- Anticipated Work Environment: This position will require an on-site presence in Washington, DC for all anticipated workdays throughout the entire duration of the internship.
- Expected Work Hours: 15-20 hours per week during the school semesters, 40 hours/week during the summer
- Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
- Internship Length: One year
- To be eligible for this internship position, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen, and must be enrolled in an accredited graduate level program, graduating from their program Fall 2027 or later.
