2024 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Pre-Law Scholarship
Wiley is proud to have created the Pre-Law Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship, which provides financial assistance for LSAT preparation and law school expenses. The scholarship is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated academic, leadership, and/or professional accomplishments and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Selection Criteria. Wiley will evaluate all scholarship applications and consider the following factors:
- Record of academic achievements, leadership, and/or professional accomplishments that will contribute to success in the legal profession.
- Engagement in efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion goals within collegiate, professional or community settings.
- Ability to demonstrate resilience in the pursuit of personal and professional goals.
Scholarship Award. Scholarship award payments will be made as follows: (1) up to $2,500 for one (1) LSAT preparation course and exam cost, and any fees associated with law school applications, after successful completion of six (6) months of employment with the firm as a paralegal and remaining in good standing status; and $10,000 in scholarship assistance, contingent upon successful completion of a minimum of two (2) years of employment with the firm as a paralegal and in good standing, and providing proof of enrollment in an ABA accredited J.D. program.

1. Submit a short personal statement (no more than 2 pages double spaced) that addresses one or more of the following:
- their interest in pursuing a career in the legal profession; or
- life experiences that shaped their values and commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the legal profession; or
- any obstacles or challenges they have overcome in pursuit of their goals.

The base salary for this position is $55,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
