Summer Intern 2025, Policy Effectiveness & Assessment - Supervision & Regulation
About the Team
The Policy Effectiveness and Assessment team assesses the costs and benefits of banking regulations for the Federal Reserve Board. It also carries our research in banking and related fields. The intern will assist with ongoing staff work related to rulemakings and economic research. The intern will help gather and organize data, perform statistical analysis and help with preparing tables and figures presenting results. The intern will also help carry out background research on related topics, as well as policies and procedures related to the performance of such work.
Remarks
Expected Projects: Assist team members with ongoing research, including by gathering and organizing data. Contribute to ongoing analysis of rulemakings, potentially including efforts related to the Basel III Endgame capital proposal or the Long-term debt proposal.
Competencies/Learning Objectives: Data organization; data analysis; research; literature review.
Suggested Major/Minor: current undergraduate or graduate student in Economics, Finance, Data science or a related field.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Coursework in economics or finance.
Preferred Skills: Experience with statistical packages, such as Stata or R.
Required Documents for application: A copy of an unofficial transcript.
Location: The internship is to be completed in a hybrid capacity, with in office expectations of at least two days a week.
US Citizenship is required for all Board internships and applicants must be current students, graduating from their program fall 2025 or later.
