Loudoun Museum Summer 2025 Internship
Loudoun Museum invites you to apply for our summer internship program! The selected intern will participate in exhibit research relating to the Revolutionary War, gain hands-on experience with collections-based research, and assist with preparation for a commemoration of the 200th Anniversary of General Lafayette's visit to Loudoun County. Other tasks may include those related to programs, visitor services, and day-to-day museum operations. The internship program will help hone your research skills, develop your ability to create engaging museum content; expose you to collections research and stewardship considerations, increase your experience engaging public audiences; and expand your knowledge of museum operations,
This part-time internship will run for 10 weeks, and we anticipate a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week. Work will take place in-person on Fridays at the museum, 1-2 weekend(s) per month, and on or off-site throughout the week as work dictates. The start date is negotiable, but applicants should be able to work through the second weekend in August. This internship includes a stipend of $750. We encourage current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, to apply. The application deadline is March 15.
