Digital Marketing Intern
Position Overview: The Digital Marketing Intern will support the online learning community, Salus, developed by House of Ruth Maryland. Salus provides credentialed, low-cost webinars and self-paced courses to empower advocates, licensed social workers, and counselors in their efforts to end gender-based violence and strengthen nonprofit capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop marketing strategies that elevate our mission and expand the reach of Salus. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented individual passionate about digital marketing and social justice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Content Creation and Management
- Develop and schedule engaging content for Facebook and LinkedIn, including posts, graphics, and videos.
- Research and implement best practices to optimize audience engagement.
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages to foster a supportive online community.
- Engage with target audience affinity groups to establish Salus’ value
- Marketing Material Development
- Design visually appealing marketing materials for current offerings, including flyers, email templates, and brochures.
- Create promotional content highlighting course features, testimonials, and success stories.
- Campaign Planning and Execution
- Assist in planning and implementing digital marketing campaigns to promote Salus’ webinars and courses.
- Track campaign performance metrics and suggest adjustments for improvement.
- Content Writing and Editing
- Draft compelling snippets, blog posts, and captions tailored to advocates and licensed professionals.
- Edit and repurpose existing content to align with Salus’ branding and messaging.
- Market Research and Analytics
- Conduct research on target audiences and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
- Analyze website traffic and social media performance using tools like Google Analytics and Hootsuite.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphic design tools.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices for professional audiences.
- Passion for social justice, gender equity, or nonprofit work is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Commitment:
- Part-time: 10-15 hours per week.
- Flexible schedule; remote options available.
