Operations and Events Intern

Future Caucus is a nonprofit organization seeking qualified interns to take on significant responsibility, work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, and contribute to organizational development and strategy. Interns will work at a high level with Future Caucus’ staff out of our Washington, DC office. Internship applications are accepted on a rolling basis, we are currently hiring for the spring semester (May - August 2025). This is a hybrid internship.


Internship Candidate Requirements: 

  • Current undergraduate student at an accredited institution
  • Passion for Gen Z & Millennials in politics and/or future-focused ideas  
  • Hardworking, entrepreneurial spirit  
  • Acute attention to detail  
  • Strong research and writing skills  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility  


Future Caucus internships provide a unique opportunity to contribute to a critical national cause with prospects of future employment. Interns will also have the opportunity to interface with leaders in the media, in state houses, and on our board of directors. Interns receive monthly stipends.

The operations and events intern will assist in events, operations, and logistics. This vital role encompasses event planning, data migration/management and assisting with a variety of smaller projects across Future Caucus. The intern must be available in Washington, D.C. the week of June 23 and be ready to tackle any challenges that arise during this timeframe. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience working in nonprofit operations, logistics and project management.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with internal data migration
  • Operational and logistical support for Future Caucus’ largest annual event, Future Summit
  • Updating and creating systems for internal tech (computer audit) and financial (nonprofit status) needs
  • Organizing internal staff culture and wellness programming
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Effective project management skills: ability to multitask, work independently, and be resourceful
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Computer proficiency: strong working knowledge of G Suite products (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
  • Highly motivated, personable, and energetic
  • Punctual, reliable, and organized
  • Ability to work as part of a team
