Marketing Consulting Project Manager Responsibilities (full-time position)
- Support project management responsibilities on marketing engagements including developing project calendars and budgets, maintaining regular contact with client stakeholders on project status, and completing certain deliverables by agreed-upon deadlines.
- Provide insight and expertise to support the development of digital and traditional marketing plans; interpret findings from client meetings and strategy sessions and participate in the development of recommendations and presentations to clients.
- Develop and produce client presentations and communicate the results of your research and analyses to senior executives in concise and compelling ways.
- Assist partners and senior consultants to respond to new business opportunities including researching companies and industries, writing new business proposals, preparing presentations, and other new business efforts.

The Marketing Consulting Project Manager will be a critical member of our marketing practice. In this role, you will provide marketing subject matter expertise on marketing and strategy engagements, assist clients in developing marketing plans, and provide insight into best practices in measuring and reporting digital marketing performance while also assisting in managing client relationships and projects.
This position could entail some travel to client locations across the United States (less than 5% of your time).
Note: The CPG team has an office in Washington, DC, and has adopted a hybrid workforce model of both in-person and remote work. Applicants should anticipate this will continue for the foreseeable future.
Candidates for CPG’s Marketing Consulting Project Manager role must have:
- 2-5 years of experience at a digital marketing agency, in-house marketing department, or similar environment. Digital marketing experience is required. Financial services industry exposure is a plus.
- Experience managing clients, projects, or accounts and communicating results. Agency account management experience is a plus.
- A strong academic record from a top-tier college or university, including an undergraduate degree and a minimum overall GPA of 3.4 (GPA must be included in resume to be considered for the position and a transcript will be required).
- Well-developed analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to engage clients and earn their trust and respect.
- Excellent time management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Attention to detail and ability to organize projects, timelines, and resources.
- An aptitude and eagerness for continued learning and development.
- Experience in working as part of a team and on team projects, experience managing projects and analytical work, and a demonstrable record of delivering results.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Expertise in project management is a plus.
