Internship Opportunity: Youth Podcast Production & Outreach Intern (Unpaid)
Organization: CITCAUSA (Communities in Transition Creating Awareness & Support for All)
Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid – in-person on Wednesdays, virtual for other tasks)
Internship Dates: April 30 – December 18, 2025
Application Deadline: April 28, 2025
Time Commitment: 5–10 hours per week (including Wednesdays from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
Stipend: Unpaid (Internship credit or service hours available)
About Us:
CITCAUSA is a community-based nonprofit committed to reducing poverty and mental illness by creating educational, wellness, and economic opportunities. Our new initiative, the YouthVoice Wellness Connect Podcast, is a youth-led platform where high school students speak on real-life experiences related to wellness, education, identity, and community.
Internship Overview:
As a Youth Podcast Production & Outreach Intern, you will help elevate youth voices by supporting all aspects of our weekly podcast—from guest coordination to technical setup and post-production. This is a hands-on, collaborative opportunity for students passionate about media, storytelling, youth empowerment, and mental health advocacy.
Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating and confirming weekly youth guests
Support recording sessions (held every first and last Wednesday, 5:30–6:30 PM)
Help with sound checks and basic podcast setup
Edit audio and video clips for social media and podcast platforms
Design promotional content and help manage podcast social media
Research potential guests and topics relevant to youth wellness
Attend virtual check-ins and help grow our listener community
Ideal Candidate:
Strong interest in youth mental health, podcasting, or digital media
Reliable, creative, and self-driven
Familiar with platforms like Zoom, Canva, Instagram, or podcast tools (GarageBand, Audacity, etc.—or eager to learn!)
Must be available on Wednesdays from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM for podcast sessions
Comfortable interacting with high school students and community members
